Autonumbering Formula for Columns
I am trying to format Column "A" to automatically issue numbers
starting from 10001 to infinity. I am using thsis formula: =IF(D8<"",COUNTA($D$7:D8)&".","") It is important that the numbers generated in Column "A" based on the contents of Column "D", so if there's no entry in "D", Column "A" will be blank. The problem I am having is that I can not start with 10001, I can however start with 1. Also, Excel is placing a dot after my numbers. I don't like dots! Please help. Eddie |

Note: the offending dot is in your original formula - the following bit: &"." -- Darren "NYDUDE" wrote in message ...
