Default How can I avoid excel saving xla combo data?

Hi,
I have an excel 2000 (sp3) workbook using a combo box on
a worksheet that displays data from a table in a
database.
The combo is an add-in.
If I change value in the combobox and close excel by the
x, without saving, the last combo value is still saved.
Any ideas how I can avoid that behaviour?
/Jessica
