Run Time Error 1004
I have a user that is using an Excel Application. This
application does have programming behind it, but nothing too difficult, mainly automatic saves and bringing up other worksheets when a button is clicked. One user that is off-site gets a run-time error 1004 when clicking some of the buttons. I have tested on a computer that was built exactly like his and do not receive that error. Would a downloaded screensaver, wallpaper, games, anything cause this to happen? I don't understand why I'm not getting the error, but he is. Thanks in advance, Trisha |

Run Time Error 1004
Trisha
Check that the save operations are able to write to, (maybe a user permssion issue), the destinations that you want. I had a similar problem and found that although the files appear on the same server the path to these varied by user. Cheers Nigel "Trisha" wrote in message ... Run Time Error 1004
How do they run the macro?
If you run it from a control on the worksheet from the controltoolbox toolbar, then try changing the control's .takefocusonclick property to false. If that control doesn't have a .takefocusonclick property, then add this to the top of your code: activecell.activate This a bug in xl97 that was fixed in xl2k.
