Default Excel Crash

When I open an Excel file containing DDE links and VB
code Excel crashes. This seems to have just happened out
of nowhere because it was at one time working fine.

Is there anyway to launch Excel in a "safe mode" so that
I can view the file (when Excel repairs the file, all
information is lost).

Also, it doesn't matter if I disable macros - Excel still
crashes when I try to open the file.

Any thoughts?

Seth
