Hi folks. At work I am set up with windows xp and micro.
office 2000. The excel works great and I continue to learn more and more. I went to purchase excel for my home computer and the salesman talked me into Microsoft works, which contained a spreadsheet program "exactly the same" as Excel, but alot cheaper. So I fell for it. Now I am realizing that I can't protect cells, it only has one worksheet and isn't capable of adding more sheets to a workbook, it can't handle "complex" formulas, the list gets larger every time I try to use it. So now I need to buy the "real deal". I am finding there are alot of choices. One is called "Microsoft office XP standard for students and teachers". This is what they have at Walmart. Is this the real program or is this another "substitute"? My computer at home uses windows 98. This software box says that window 98 is OK. Thanks. Scott |
