Default Storing macros outside of Excel VB

Hi,

I was wondering whether it is possible to have Excel
call a macro from outside of the application and run it
within the spreadsheet itself (independently).

If it is possible, then how can I create such a macro,
and what do I need to do.

Thanks
Ray
