Default Launch Macro in Access via Macro running in Excel???

Hi all,
I need some help please..

The concept is sound however the practical side of this is confounding
us. Could anyone advise (or if possible provide code) that would allow
us to have a macro/module in an excel that went about doing some number
crunching in excel and then calls and activates a macro/or module
within access and then returned to complete the excel macro/module?

Thank you for taking the time to consider this.
