It sounds like the workbook got changed somehow--maybe corrupted in the mail or
maybe your antivirus program went too wild (both guesses). I think I'd ask the sender to resend. (maybe they can zip it up before they send it. if you can unzip the file, then the workbook should be ok to open, too.) I like Winzip (http://www.winzip.com) "A.
