I don't use OWC either and there's nothing in the excel portion that looks
strange to me.

But the section that start with
do while not Rs.EOF
rowCounter = rowCounter + 1

looks like it it goes through rs until it hits end of file. Maybe your end of
file is out of whack with what you think it should be.
