for a string, what you need is how to extract part of a string (concatenate means you want to put two string together) if your string is on the variable X, the you can extract with something like this: myName=mid(X,1,Instr(Instr(1, X, ".")+1, X, ".")-1) Francisco Mariscal fcomariscal at hotmail dot com -----Original Message----- Hi There, I am writing vba code in macro, How could I concatenate a string where I want only the middle text of the string.
