Default Open XL2K without executing Macros

Hi

How can I open an excel 2K file without it executing any
code?

The reason I need to this because I've just updated some
add-In code and the file now doesn't open without causing
excel to crash, even before I've seen the worksheet!

Your help is appreciated.

Sean

Keith

Thanks. It seems its a problem with the file itself, not
the code!

I have managed to access yesturdays file and rebuild
my .xls file, with a few hours work it should be back to
normal.

There's a lesson there! If I only listen to my own advice
which I preach to every user I wouldn't have had that mess.

Live and learn

Thanks

Sean

Start Excel in safe mode using the command line option /s

e.g. Select run from the Start bar and enter
Excel /s

In safe mode add-in arent loaded but but the
doalog box still show the selected add-ins
