Default sumif ...

That's a great formula, except I think it will multiply A and B, which,
if I understand correctly, is not what fl wanted. A formula that might
help is:

=SUM(IF(ISBLANK(B1:B10)=FALSE, A1:A10, 0))

and then hit Ctrl-Shift-Enter.

Let me know if that doesn't work.

Mark,

No it won't . . . test it.
It's a condition for example take cell B1
ISBLANK(B1:B6)=FALSE
if B1 is blank it returns FALSE (ie 0)
if B1 contains a value it returns true (ie 1)
Cell A1 * 0 = 0
Cell A1 * 1 = A1
