Default getting excel to recalculate on format

Hi Dale

You're out of luck, formatting doesn't trig any events or recalculations. This event is hign up on my wishlist too.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this
for me. I have a spreadsheet that needs to count the
number of cells in a range that are in italics. to do this
i have written a UDF called sumItalic which takes a range
as a variable and calculates it correctly. However it only
updates when a cell is modified, not when the data in
question is turned to italics. I have tried
Application.Volitile in the function but i don't know hat
else to try.

Running Excel '97 SR 2

Cheers,
Dale
