Default self installing macro

you're right, but there are work around to that, consider building
application using Visual Studio Tools for Office, deploy it from a netwrok
share or for develop a COM addin and ditribute it using installer

I don't think this the right way Marco

Not all people have a personal.xls and if they do
I don't think they like you change it.
Place your code in a Add-in and give them that one

I was wondering if it is possible to produce a self installing macro

Download Jan Karel Pieterse his Name Manager
It have a unprotected install file

Hi,

I am producing some vb macro that other people are installing in their

own
computers. At the moment they just copy the modules into their

personal.xls
but this is very unefficent especially if people are not very computer
skilled.

I was wondering if it is possible to produce a self installing macro,

i.e. a
.exe that copies the macros into the personal.xls modules and forms and
eventually removes older versions.

Regards

Marco
