Default Minimise Maximise Problem

Hi.

Recently I downloaded 200 excel files and discovered that
amongst the 200 I downloaded and opened one must have
contained code to remove the minimise and maximise symbols
(slash and to overlaying boxes) next to the close program
x. Has anyone any code to get these back? The maximise and
minimise for individual workbooks remain in place...

Thanks in advance

Default Minimise Maximise Problem

I think he is talking about the application window.

To the original poster, can you right click on the caption bar and get the
menu with minimize and maximize?

How about when you left click on the Excel Icon on the left top of the
caption bar - what do you get there?

Gordon..

from your original Q it's not quite clear to me what the
exact prob is.

If your problem with NEW workbooks only then you'll have to have a look
at your standard template. (book.xlt or book.xls)

otherwise mail me one of the offending workbooks (zipped please)
and i'll have a look at it.

Didn't work

This is more deep rooted than that and I'm convinced I
need code to reslove it.

Tom...

Thanks for help.

You're right. I can't maximise or minimise my application
window, but I can minimise and maximise an excel book
within the application window. How can I get my
application window to maximise and minimise.

Thanks

Gordon.
