Default Drop down box issue

I have a drop down box that when an item is selected it
populates a cell with the data. The issue I'm having is
that the different items within the drop down choices are
of different data types. Is there anyway to keep the data
type "absolute" to the choice rather than what the cell is
formatted to? The specific problem I'm having is when I
select a time choice in the drop down, it populates the
cell with a decimal number (ie: 19:00 = .875).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks (again),

Kevin G
