Date Format - Unchangeable
Maybe:

Until recently the ws has been displaying the correct format, but now in the Format Type List, it has an (*) before the long name. ie. Cell Value = 37643 Formula Bar = 22/01/2003 Cell Formatting = dd/mm/yyyy I have tried cuting the column, and pasting it onto a new sheet, deleting the old location, inserting a new column, and re-pasting the newly (correctly formatted) data across into the new column. Once the data is pasted back, it returns to the serial value, not the formatting. When applying a new format, shows in the status bar as processing the request. If you hover over the serial value, it shows the correct value in a yellow dialog (similar to the comments box). Any ideas as to how to rectify the problem would be greatly appreciated. Date Format - Unchangeable
Sometimes it's easier to describe the menu path than describe the buttons/keys.
Try doing it over the phone. Click on the little horsy looking thing on the left side of the screen. It's right next to the dohickey that looks like a mouse being chased by a cat.
