Default How do I get the date entry bar back (at top of sheet)?

The two ways I know how to enter data are 1) click a cell and enter, 2) click
the bar at the top of the sheet and enter data.
My bar at the top of the sheet has disappeared.
I reset all the toolbars, but can't seem to get it back.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Try going to the Tools | Options command and, on the View tab, click the
check box for the Forumula bar (under Show options)
