Default How do i protect a worksheet in Excel and still use AutoSum?

If I protect a worksheet in Excel 2003, the AutoSum button cannot be used. As
I want to use the protected sheet with students in school, I would like them
to be able to use the AutoSum button.

Why not make a copy of the protected spreadsheet and unprotect it. That
way if any pesky little 'uns mess things up, it won't matter...
