Default How do I alphabetize data in the field list?

I have created a pivot table for our bill of materials for all of our jobs,
in which the drawing numbers contains both numbers and letters. We want to
do a "where used" list. When I hit the drop down arrow, all of the items are
there, but in no real order. Is there a way to make them come up in
alphabetical/numerical order? Also, is there a way to type in the
number/name of the drawing that we are looking for?

Double-click the pivot field button
Click the Advanced button
Under AutoSort, choose Ascending
From the Using Field dropdown, select the field name
Click OK, click OK

You can't type in the item selection box, but if they're in alphabetical
order they should be easier to find.
