Default formulas are shown as text

when I enter the formula in a cell and press enter, it shows the whole
formula as text rather than showing its result.
what's wrong?

regards

you did put an equals = at the start of the formula?

or the format of the cell is set to text, change it to a number format
and then reedit the formula

or tools optons view the formulas box should not be ticked

Regards

Dav
