Default New row with "Column#"

Hi. I have a workbook that is used as a database.

I don't know what happened (I am the technician - not the user) - but it not
appears as if we have a new row at the top

and I have

Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4 Column5

in the first row

I can't "delete" that row. It's sort of like it doesn't really exist.

any ideas on what was turned on and how to turn it off?

This is NOT an R1C1 problem... my columns are still "labeled" as A, B, C

thanks,
Beata
