Currency Style Button
Whenver I open a new workbook and use the currency style button, the cells
selected are formatted with a euro symbol instead of a dollar symbol. I would like the cells to be formatted with the dollar symbol (this is the default action I believe in new versions of excel). Is there any setting that I can change so that the currency style button starts using dollar symbols again? I've checked my Regional and Language settings in the Control Panel in case that was the problem. However, they are set to English (United States) and United States. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

I guess you can always set your currency through "Format Cells / Number" Tab. but like you said, changing the defaults in control panels should have done it for the button. Maybe your computer needs to be restarted after you changed those defaults in order for the changes to take effect in the programs? -- Turquoise_dax ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Turquoise_dax's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35185 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=557881 |

Thanks. I tried re-booting but to no avail. The problem still persists. As
far as I know, my regional settings have been set to the United States for a long time (long before this problem arose) "Turquoise_dax" wrote: I guess you can always set your currency through "Format Cells / Number" Tab. but like you said, changing the defaults in control panels should have done it for the button.
