Default constraints for the trend function

I would like to forecast data, but have certain constraints that must be
satisfied. For example, I have time series volume data that is trending
downward, but I do not want the forecast to become negative. Is this
possible using the trend function? Also, is there a better way to
forecast than using the trend function? Any and all help is
appreciated.
