Default Why is "History" a "reserved name" while naming Excel worksheets?

If I try to rename a sheet from say "Sheet 1" to "History", I get an error
message stating "History is a reserved name". Why is this so?

Start a new (test) workbook and save it.

Turn on Tools|track changes
make a few changes
save the workbook

Tools|track changes|highlight changes
check the "list changes on a new sheet" box

You'll see that you get a new sheet named History.
