Default Linking to a file

Is there a way to create a link to a file on a server? I have a
spreadsheet forms that have been received. On my network server I have
files created for each document that has been received. I want to have
a link from each cell to the corresponding file.

You can Insert a Hyperlink either from the Insert menu or toolbar button and
set the address to the relevant file. HTH

I have been able to add the hyperlink, but when selecting the link, I
receive a warning that Excel cannot open the specified file.

Yes the file would open normally. I think I have figured it out
though. The person creating the file was using "#" in the file name.
Once I removed this the link started to work. Thanks for your
attention.
