Default Default Cell border colour?

I have one sheet where the default border colour (when I choose
"Automatic") is 25% grey. How do I set that back to black?

When I create a new sheet the border colour is black again.

I'm using Excel 97.

Many thanks in advance for your kind help,

Chris
