Default how do i TRUNC a date field using SQL Server ODBC ?

I am using SQL Server typpe ODBC conection in Excel and when I try to TRUNC a
date field i get an error that the function is not recognised. Is there an
equivalent function to TRUNC for SQL server, I have used it before with
oracle ODBC connection.
