Default How to use one excel file to search another?

I have two excel files. The first contains one column of number with
100 rows. The second contains multiple tabs, each tab contains
multiple columns, and possibly hundreds of rows. I want to query the
second file to see if it has any data from the first. Furthermore, the
second (larger file) is changing everyday, so I would like a process
that is automated. The find data are all numbers.

Does anyone know a good way to do this?

Possible ideas:
-compare files
-merge files
-find duplicates and make a report

Thanks for you help!
