annoying red triangle

You can turn it off in the Options\View\Comments section, but they you wont be able to see the comments either. You can see them again if you turn it back on. You might wish to try the,

At the menu, Tools, Options, View Tab - near middle Comments - select
None. thanks, ragdyer. that should work. in fact, it's even more practical than a comment for my purpose! jim may, the comment also doesn't show up when I click on 'none' as you suggested. if there was a way to just get rid of the triangle without eliminating the comment, that'd be nice.
