I am trying to create a population chart using total number of staff at
different employee levels with a central Y axis similar to a Population
Pyramid.

i.e. Level 1 = Manager 30 people with 15 people either side
of Y axis
Level 2 = Professional 120 people with 60 people either side
of Y axis
Level 3 = Clerical 72 people with 36 either side of
Y axis
Level 4 = Trainee 20 people with 10 either side of Y
axis

I want the levels to sit one above the other like a bar chart but with
the Y Axis centrally placed and half the population on each level
either side of the Y axis.

I can just divide each level by two and set the two data sets up as
negative and positive but then Excel wants to group the data vertically
rather than horizonatally i.e. 2 groups either side of Y axis rather
than 4 groups all above X axis which makes labelling and assigning the
legend a nightmare.

The shape I should end up with is like a flattened frog (sort of). I
have seen a chart function in excel that can do this but can't remember
the details.
