I am looking for some ideas.

Work in a company where a lot of the employees travel a lot. We would like
to be able to create a better product to show parallel timelines indicating
when people will be in or out of the office. Some of the attributes we
wanted in the product were
-linear time line
-color coded
-ability to lable lines
-ablity to change location multiple times per tracked person

Although I feel that other products may do this better, most workers require
excell due to their computer literacy level.

Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations, or experiences you can share to help
prevent me from re-inventing the wheel would be great.
