Default How to prevent file date change when no update made in Excel?

Excel automatically changes the file date upon exiting from the spreadsheet
even if no change is made to the spreadsheet. I would like to retain the
original file date when no change is made. Not sure if there is a Tools . .
.. Option or other Preference setting that will allow this.
