Pivot table Parameters
I know that you can't directly pass a parameter for a query through a pivot
table, but is there some way to by pass this? My problem is that I need to create several graphs based on about 200 000 data points, comparing the performance of several companies in a couple of areas on a monthly basis. I have been given the task to automate it to a click of a button. I have so far managed to achieve all the other functions through VBA, I am no pro, however I have learned a fair amount from this site and some of the MVP sites. Now what I have a pivot table linked to an Access database, to update it I have to manually go into the query and change the criteria. However I was wondering/hoping that I could reference it to the contents of a cell. I know you can do this with normal queries, but i couldn't find out how to do it with pivot tables, if it is even possible. If anyone has any ideas/ help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, |
