Default OPen one Spreadsheet from another

I have a series of spreadsheets that I am currently running manually each
morning. For reasons I won't get into here I can't use scheduler so what I am
looking to do is the following

Open the first spreadsheet have it do its thing, then open the next one in
the sequence and close off the first.

What is the best way of doing this

You could use this sort of construct

Sub Auto_open()
Workbooks.Open ("Book1.xls")
ThisWorkbook.Saved = True
ThisWorkbook.Close
End Sub
