Default how do you identify file in use by ""

How do you identify the user that has the file open when all you get is file
in use by "" when opening a Word or Excel file that is in use by another
user. I know I can open the file in read only mode but I would like to
identify the user that is using the file. Thanks for the help!!!
PS ----- We have SBS2003 Server
