Time Tracking in Excel
I am involved in a project that is trying to track the amount of business
hours an application is open before it closes. I'm trying to find a way to calculate this time in Excel but am having difficulty. Different variables that will effect the amount of time the application will be open for a -only working hours (between 8:00am to 5:00pm) (lunch is also excluded at 12:00pm) -vacation days must be excluded -weekends must be excluded as well Currently when I sum the total number of hours the application is open, this takes into account weekends, thus giving me the wrong amount of time. This application must take the diffence of time from when an application is opened such as from 8:45am-9:50am. But sometimes the applications are open for more than one day making the difference not totally accurate. |
