Excel 2007 Beta 2: Zoom Menu Suggestion
The zoom scroll at the bottom of the page is a great idea. But notice the bit
of annoyance that is invovled when specifying the preset zoom levels: Your cursor travels to the bottom of the application window and clicks the 100% (assuming you're at 100% zoom level) in order to change to a preset zoom level. A menu pops up and then you're burdened with having to move the cursor across half of the screen to select your desired zoom level. A small annoyance, but it's enough for me to avoid using the preset zoom options. I suggest that the appearing menu should scroll out from that area; much like our beloved Start menu (maybe with the same color theme?). I've noticed the same thing with Word; more unnecessary mouse movement. Please find a way to constrict the zoom menu to the bottom right corner.
