Default When I type "13" the spreadsheet shows "14." Possibilities?

I cannot find the Option that may be causing this. If I send the spreadsheet
to another system there is no problem typing the number "13" (does not
automatically change to "14"), and in fact when the spreadsheet is returned
to my sytem, the "13" still exists. But when I data enter a "13," it will
automatically change to a "14." I have checked for a formatting issue, and
even selected cells and then used Edit, Clear, All to remove all formatting,
but still get the 13/14 input error.

Hi there,
This might be a 'longshot' but I just reproduced your suspect behavior by
entering a '13' and having Excel return a '14'....Go to Tools / Options /
Spelling, click on the "Autocorrect Options" button.... see if someone has
added '13' in the "Replace" column and a '14' in the "With" column.
You may have to scroll down the lists a bit to see if its at the bottom of
the list.

Hope this helps,
Joe

You and Sandy are brilliant! That's the one place I have failed to check.
I'm going to scope it out right away.

I like Sandy's reply better ... ;-) Find the culprit and they should buy
you '13' lunches.
