sorting contacts
Hello,
I am trying to sort my Outlook contacts by exporting them to Excel and then doing an ascending sort. However, Excel doesn't seem to sort more than 300 rows for me. It starts a new sort after doing 300. Is that a limitation of sorting in Excel? Is there a solution? Eugene Baer |

Make sure you select the entire range to sort.
If you let excel guess the range to sort, it can ignore things separated by blank rows/columns. docbaer wrote: Hello, I am trying to sort my Outlook contacts by exporting them to Excel and then doing an ascending sort. Sounds to be more a data problem. It would be worth trying copying the list into notepad first to remove any fancy characters that might be confusing Excel and then copy from notepad to Excel. -- mrice Research Scientist with many years of spreadsheet development experience ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mrice's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=10931 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=546805 |
