Default How do I change $ to £ permanently in Excel?

Not very PC literate so simple language please!! Am in Excel 2003 trying to
produce a list including prices in £'s. However when I type it in and
continue to the next price the previous one changes to a $sign. Am going
round in everdecreasing - can anyone help please?

Hi

I would suggest you check your Regional Settings (in Control Panel) first.
It might be that it is wrong there, in which case it would give you the
symptoms you have.
