Default How do I enable the double-click drill down in Excel

I've seen others double-click in a cell in excel and be able to drill down to
the reference in the cell. How do I enable this?

I don't know if this is what you mean but if you check "enter directly in
cell" under toolsoptionsedit you get into edit mode

Unfortunately this is not what I am after. I think this is a "compatibility"
setting with Lotus as I recall being able to click in the cell and being
taken to the reference source.

Did you bother to try it ? Uncheck "edit directly in cell" and doubleclick a
cell with a formula in it.

HTH. Best wishes Harald
