Default Editing a hyperlink changes font

After I edit a hyperlink, its font will automatically change to
Trebuchet MS with size 10. How do I prevent this "helpful adjustment"
from happening?

they really hid it, so go to the Format menu / Style / scroll Type to
Hyperlink / Modify / Then pick the font formatting as you would
normally, then OK / OK ,
