Hi,

I've got a picture in Excel and I've used the 'freeform' drawing tool
to create areas over certain parts of the picture in order that I can
attached macros to them, which means different parts of the picture
will bring up a different worksheet.

The finished freeform area, with a macro, uses no line and no
background (ie., it's invisible). Is there a way in which, when the
mouse hovers over the freeform area, it will show up as a transparent
background with a black border, until the mouse moves away again?

I've tried but gotten nowhere fast, but would be great if it could be
done!

I'm using Excel 2000.

Many thanks,
Dan.

How about an alternative?

You could add a picture to a cell's comment.

Thanks Dave,

It's a nice idea but it's not what I'm looking for really.

I just need certain parts of the freeform picture to change when the
mouse hovers over it, if it's even possible!!! :)

Thanks,
Dan.

I don't know a way of doing this.
