![]() Hi, I've got a picture in Excel and I've used the 'freeform' drawing tool to create areas over certain parts of the picture in order that I can attached macros to them, which means different parts of the picture will bring up a different worksheet. The finished freeform area, with a macro, uses no line and no background (ie., it's invisible). Is there a way in which, when the mouse hovers over the freeform area, it will show up as a transparent background with a black border, until the mouse moves away again? I've tried but gotten nowhere fast, but would be great if it could be done! I'm using Excel 2000. Many thanks, Dan. -- Voodoodan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Voodoodan's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...nfo&userid=597 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=538812 |

How about an alternative?
You could add a picture to a cell's comment. http://contextures.com/xlcomments02.html#Picture (From Debra Dalgleish's site) Voodoodan wrote: Hi, I've got a picture in Excel and I've used the 'freeform' drawing tool to create areas over certain parts of the picture in order that I can attached macros to them, which means different parts of the picture will bring up a different worksheet. ![]() Thanks Dave, It's a nice idea but it's not what I'm looking for really. I just need certain parts of the freeform picture to change when the mouse hovers over it, if it's even possible!!! :) Thanks, Dan. -- Voodoodan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Voodoodan's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...nfo&userid=597 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=538812 |

I don't know a way of doing this.
