Default Printing Excel Comments

I have a spreadsheet that contains numerous comments. Using the page set-up I
can tell it to print the comment either IN the spreadsheet or AFTER the
spreadsheet. However, when I choose the IN spreadsheet, the comments do not
appear, but when I choose after the spreadsheet, the comments appear and
print out. Why would they NOT appear and print in the spreadsheet? Would
having too many comments prohibit them from showing ont he page?

Hi Steve,
Are the comments displayed on the sheet before printing.
file, page setup, sheet, print comments as displayed, OK
tools, options, View, Display indicator and comment

-- don't forget the OK

To reverse the above reenter different options.

Yes they are visible during mouse-over, but they do not print out.

Mouse over is not the same as Display indicator and comment.
which is the only way you are going to have them print within the spreadsheet.

If you don't like the ways the comments print at the end of the spreadsheet,
you have some other choices by using macros or addins -- see my page
Cell Comments

basically you might also want to see
cell address, text displayed, value, formula, format
