It was just surprising that there were similar questions within momemts of each
other. Glad you got it working--even if you aren't Paputxi <vbg. Cheri wrote: Duh, I feel so dumb not thinking about the range. I should have known better. Thank you - an no I'm not Paputxi. Cheri "Dave Peterson" wrote: Are you Paputxi??? If you apply your filter (filtering by that value--not just putting the arrows in place) once more, look at the row numbers to the left. The row numbers that are part of the autofilter range are blue. If the row numbers are still gray, then they weren't part of your autofilter range. Remove the filter arrows Data|Filter|autofilter then select your range--don't let excel guess and reapply data|filter|autofilter Then test it out. Cheri wrote: When I filter a spreadsheet I have, I ask for criteria in two columns. Sometimes rows show up that do not meet that criteria i.e, column 1 - select those with X; column 2 - select those with the category "abroad" - and some items show up in the filter that do not have an X in the column. Why is that - what do I need to do to get accurate information. Cheri -- Dave Peterson -- Dave Peterson |
