Default open multiple files

When I attempt to open multiple XL files, a window appears for each file
asking where to copy to. I cancel this each time and the files continue to
open.
How can I eliminate the window from appearing?

I'm opening the files by alt/click and then click on "open" in the right
click menu.

Thanks

Default open multiple files

are you trying to open multiple files at once or one by one. If all at once
then try clicking on "Select" in right-click commands instead of "Open"
