I enter the numbers "06-9832" which are then automatically changed to
"Jun-32". Why and how do I turn off this function / formatting? Many thanks! |

Precede it with a single apostrophe, ', or format the cell as text.

![]() You can change the format of the cell to "Text", if you're application will allow you to treat those numbers as text strings.
