If you can find it, you can download it for free!

Other versions aren't free, though. But you may be able to find an earlier
version on eBay for not too much money.

Default Excel 6.0

There never was an Excel 6 but there are no free versions of any version of
Excel. I think there is trial version of Office 2003 somewhere on the MS
site. For a free spreadsheet you might look at OpenOffice.
