Default General Question About PivotTables

Hello All,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this.

General
I have 5 SQL Tables with lots of data (about 15 columns in each table)
From each of these 5 Tables I have about 6 Pivot tables. (30 Pivots

totat)
Each of the pivot tables have some custom calculations
Not all of the columns are used in each of the pivots.
Once the Pivots are refreshed a snapshot is taken of the sheets.
(Users do not interact with the pivots, so once refreshed they are
static)

Goal
Reduce the size of the spreadsheet and make refreshing it faster.

Question

1) Is it better to build each pivot table pulling back only the columns
I need for it, or is it better to have one Master Pivot Table (All
columns) and then build the 6 Pivots from it?

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks

Doug

My impression is that it's better to have one master and build all pivots
from that.
